How can I get a FREE Credit Report?
The free credit report can be obtained from AnnualCreditReport.com. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires each of the nationwide consumer reporting companies Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion to provide you with a free copy of your credit report, at your request, once every 12 months.

Is there another way to get a free credit report?
Yes, there are certain times when you are entitled to a copy of your credit report for free. For example, if you have been denied credit, within 60 days of the denial you can request a free copy of your credit report. Contact the credit bureau for more information.
Other methods of obtaining your credit report:
You can get a copy of your credit report online, or call or write any of the 3 major credit bureaus. (see credit bureau address page)

If you don't order online, you'll need to provide information with a writen request such as social security number, data of birth, current residence and residences for the past 5 years and telephone number. Other information such as a copy of your drivers license may also be needed, so be sure to contact the credit bureau before requesting your credit report.
